How it Works:

Join the Bestseller Club and you will be automatically placed on a reserve list for up to 10 popular authors you choose from our list. This service is for Glen Cove Library cardholders only and is for unreleased fiction titles. A member of the library staff will notify you via phone or e-mail to pick up the book as it becomes available. Please remember to pick up your books promptly or they will be given to the next waiting patron. To ensure the equality of all club members, the order of the list rotates. In order to meet the needs of our patrons, extra copies of books will be ordered in proportion to the number of reserves placed.

Agency Card – Assisted living establishments/nursing homes with residents: Two employees are required to sign for an Agency card. Agency cards expire in one year without direct access to other Nassau libraries.

Au Pairs – An official Au Pair letter is required. The card expires in one year without direct access to other Nassau libraries.

Delivery of books, movies, and magazines to your home/school.

You will receive an email with a delivery date. Delivery dates may be affected by weather or the unexpected.

A Librarian will email you when items are ready to pickup. Please pickup within 7 days or items will be checked in and will be removed from your account.

Non-residents who own property in the Glen Cove School District are eligible for a card which will need to be renewed annually. Please submit a valid ID and a copy of the tax bill for the property.

Teachers employed by the GCSD are eligible to receive a card (without direct access to other Nassau libraries) which will need to be renewed annually. A valid ID along with a letter from the school stating that they are currently employed is sufficient to establish eligibility.

Residents should apply in person at the library. Bring one form of identification. The following forms of identification are acceptable:

Valid Driver’s License
Utility Bill
Property Tax Bill
Monthly Rent Receipt
Bank Statement showing current address within the GCSD

Children must have the signature of a parent or guardian, accepting responsibility for library materials.

Library cards are valid for three years and can be used in any library in Nassau County.
